NEED FOR SPEED SHIFT:REVIEW

Finally, the most awaited Shift is here. After the below par performance of Undercover and Prostreet this game marks a fresh start for the long running NFS series. The NFS had ups and downs sadly the last two years where the time EA hit the rock bottom with mega flops such as prostreet and undercover. So lets find out what's the future of the mighty NFS series

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The game is superbly detailed.Everything from cars to crowd have great graphic quality.Iam not a great fan of sim racing.Frankly saying the stunts and violent races were the greatest qualities of NFS series and the shift misses it and it looks just like another 'Dirt' or 'Gran Tourismo'.The game involves ZERO story and i am unhappy about that.On the other hand its a grat treasure for arcade racing fans.

GRAPHICS
The most imperessing factor in all nfs games, its even better in Shift. The developers 'Slightly Mad Studios ' had given thoughts in improving graphics and done their best in giving superb car physics. The cockpit driving is superb everything is beautifully designed inside. The crash effects are awesome, most of the time i can find my Car's body parts flying in the air.The crashing also affect players visuals(vision will be blurred for some  seconds after a serious crash)

AUDIO
Simply awesome.Sounds better than any racing games around. Its great to hear the roar of a Bugatti Veyron or chevy corvette. The visual crash effects become more realistic with the superb sound effects.

GAMEPLAY
I will say that gameplay is much superior than former NFS games. The AI is brilliant and will take advantage of your smallest mistakes. They know how to adapt and are hard to beat. The entire game is based on points and there comes one of the cons of AI,they will always drive through the race line which is not necessary for the players if u decide money over points.I find the races are easy if you compromise on the points and aim for the fisrt place.

The aim of the game is to became the top ranked player and race in Nfs World series. The ranking system is pretty cool. The rankings are bases on our gaming style, which can be aggressive or precision. In order to procede in rankings earning points is necessary.

The most intresting thing is,money is no longer a problem you will have enough money to buy the best car in the class and finish all modifications too.

Drift races are a bit harder. Its much difficult to control the car and it will spin around if carelessly drived.
Overall the gameplay is good but not great.

FINAL WORDS
After the flops of Undercover and Prostreet this game does a much better job in keeping the
hopes of gamers all around the world alive. The game is missing the stunts and violent chases which were the unique feature od old Nfs releases.Well, I miss the good old illegal racing. Its sad that EA had decided to stick with 'Legal Racing'.Hopes it will be solved in future releases.
