TANGLED THE GAME

THE STORY

Adapted from the movie Tangled by Disney studios the game obviously made for the younger gamers does a fairly good job in making the world of Rapunzel and Fynn alive.
Based on the famous fairy tale Rapunzel,Tangled tells about princess Rapunzel who is kidnapped and locked away in a tall tower in the middle of forest by an evil woman named Gothel who pretends to be her mother.While happy to be safe in her tower, she yearns to see the outside world, and more importantly, the floating lights(which her paraents lit every year,hoping one day they will meet their lost daughter). Rapunzel asks Gothel to let her see the floating lights on her birthday, but Gothel denies her request.When she met Flynn Rider,a thief who accidently climbed on her tower,she decided to go to the outside world where a wonderful and adventerous journey awaits her.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Different is the first word that pops out from my mind when talking about Tangled.Menu system and the game map  is designed in a way that Rapunzel and Flynn can actually walk and selected various game elements.Story is told in 2d and 3d format where the 3d part(the game levels) looks beautiful and attarctive whereas the 2d part(which tells the story by hand drawn scenes) should have been much better.Like many movie-game adaptations this is a 'puzzly' game which can only be loved by fans of such games.

GRAPHICS
Similar to many titles such as 'Cloudy with the chance of meatballs tangled used a 2d and 3d combination to tell the story.Graphics are just ok as we know this game this game is meant for younger kids(dont expect it may be as good as crysis II or mafia II :)

Majority of the story is told through 2d drawing which are fun to watch.
Overall i wish the graphic quality was much better.

AUDIO
The music syncs perfectly with the game and developers had done does a good job when compared to the movie which was a musical animated masterpiece.

GAMEPLAY
Tangled is one of those games that is quite simple and quite difficult all at the same time.The player needs to complete different puzzles inorder to progress throrugh the levels which might get boring  sometimes.For example the level 'The Snuggly Duckling' is so boring where the player is asked to roam around in the bar searching and asking for various things the bartender asked in order to show them the secret passage way to escape from the soldiers who are waiting outside to catch Flynn.

Puzzles are simple but are executed well and there are specific set goals for each challenges.
The co-op playing is a good little feature enabled in Tangled where the both players can be controlled for making the gameplay much more fun and easier.In many places Rapunzel and Flynn must work together and help each other to overcome obstacles(Rapunzel can use her hair to swing Flynn can cut through bushes).

FINAL WORDS

Tangled is obviously meant for children who are big fans of the movie.The co-op mode can be best used by the elders to join their kids to make the game fun for the whole family.Its not the best looking game ever but its gets the job done.
